This seems to be a term that has come into favor in our ever changing times. What is New Normal? It is similar to the term “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade”. Some thing has drastically changed in your life, could be a job loss, a new baby, a death in the family. Whatever has changed you can either mourn what is missing or pick yourself up by your boot straps and accept the “New Normal”.
Questions that are pondered over and over are leaders born or created. Leadership: the office or position of a leader; capacity to lead as defined by Merriam Webster Dictionary. It is important to exhibit, model and display these traits. Simply possessing each trait is not enough; you have to display it in a way that people notice. People want to see that you actively demonstrate these leadership qualities and will not just assume that you have them. In other words put up or shut up.
It is said that a dog is man’s best friend and a cat has nine lives. However, ownership of a dog or a cat is never more poignant than it is with a senior citizen. The positives that can be gained from owning a dog are documented and valid. There are programs in place now that match up senior dogs with senior citizens, which in my opinion is a win-win for both dog and the senior.
What a difference a decade makes, especially in the world of health care. In 2011 when we see businesses closing, fraud and unethical practices uncovered.
